Message From The Principal
Welcome to the 2023-24 school year at Valinda School of Academics. I am extremely honored to serve my 12th year as principal, and I am pleased to be part of a faculty and community that is committed to providing the best education for every child in a safe and nurturing environment. This year’s theme is “Engage, Experience, Connect…Deep Learning Every Day.” Teachers are receiving professional development in the New Pedagogies for Deep Learning practices so that students can learn the necessary skills to build character, show citizenship, collaborate/communicate with others, be creative and think critically. It is our intention for each one of our students to leave Valinda prepared for a higher education, equipped with the necessary tools to navigate the global society that is constantly changing, and empowered with a love of learning.
I am excited to partner with Valinda’s PTA and the strong group of parents, guardians, grandparents, and extended families who make up our community. We welcome volunteers in our classrooms, activities, and programs. Our teachers invite ongoing communication with families and my door is always open. I appreciate your input and look forward to collaborating with you and your child in these particularly important first years of school.
